To step through the door of Maison Clairvoy is to enter in the fascinating world of cabaret, music-hall, circus, theatre and cinema. It is here that master bootmaker Nicolas Maistriaux creates his exceptional shoes with his passionate team of craftsmen.
A bespoke shoemaker since 1946, the Maison Clairvoy has been developing the expertise and creativity dedicated to the performing arts, in particular footwear for dancers from the Moulin Rouge. Most of the time, the designs are based on stage designers’ sketches creating unique styles adapted to the constraints of intensive use.
The bespoke service made a return in 2009 and you can now get the expert hands of the workshop to make one of their creations for you. There is also a line women's boots online inspired by the cabaret world. However you will need to be patient because priority is always given to the demands of the artists. So you need to allow at least eight to twelve months before your shoes will be ready to go on stage.
